Community Outreach
At New Hope Lutheran Church, we are proud to support and partner with many charities and community organizations, both locally and beyond. As part of our mission to share Christ’s love in tangible ways, we actively participate in outreach efforts that lift up our neighbors and strengthen our community.

We also host our own ministry drives and charitable opportunities throughout the year, made possible by the generosity of our congregation. We are deeply grateful for the hearts and hands of our members who faithfully give, serve, and help make our community a better place for all.
Samaritan’s Purse sends gift-filled Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to children in need around the world together with the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
School Time Bible Ministries exists to provide biblical teaching to public school children. Students with parental permission may attend off-campus Bible classes, New Hope Lutheran Church is proud to partner with Dutch Fork Middle School.
Sharing God’s Love is a local cooperative ministry that works with community families and individuals facing emergencies related to their basic living needs. The ministry operates as an extension of the churches in the Irmo, St. Andrews, and Ballentine areas
Sistercare’s philosophy is to empower survivors of domestic violence and their children to live free of intimate partner violence; become educated about domestic violence; be able to make informed decisions; take responsibility for themselves and their children; and achieve self-sufficiency.
Birthright offers love, friendship, and support to women who are pregnant or think they may be pregnant. Birthright is interdenominational and is not involved in any political activities, or lobbying. Birthright’s focus is on loving the mother, reminding her that there is hope and ensuring she is not alone.
Considered one of the southeastern leaders in cancer care, the Cancer Center at South Carolina Oncology Associates, SCOA, has been serving Columbia for more than 40 years.

Since 1963, Providence Home has served vulnerable men who are wanting to leave their yesterdays behind and break the shackles of drugs, alcohol, and incarceration.
For more than 200 years, the Woodyard Fund has helped Midlands families stay warm and secure during the coldest months. In the last year of support via The State Paper, community donations provided $93,446 in utility assistance, helping 221 families in crisis.
